Dennis Reeve

Managing Director and Principal Geotechnical Engineer

MEngSci, BSc, MIEAust, CPEng

Dennis has over 25 years of post-graduate experience in the mining and civil industries in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Africa and Fiji.  Dennis is a MIEAust, Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and RPEQ.

The bulk of Dennis’ experience has been on civil and mine infrastructure projects, railway projects and undertaking construction supervision. Experienced in all aspects of projects from early phase optimisation, geological mapping, site investigations, analysis and design, implementing innovative solutions and construction support. Dennis' core skills include:

  • Undertaking and managing geotechnical assessments safely, within budget and to schedule

  • Developing robust and practical solutions based on root-cause analysis

  • Experienced working within multi-disciplinary client teams to enable effective geotechnical input on projects

  • Early phase input to define and rank geotechnical opportunities and constraints, leading to high value for the project

  • Introduction of innovative ideas and technologies

  • Development and optimisation of earthworks specifications for construction activities

  • Liaising directly with clients and other stakeholders to provide timely and appropriate geotechnical solutions

  • Interpretive and factual report writing and review of others’ reporting

Paul Wrigley​

Lead Engineering Geologist

MEngSci, BSc

Paul is a determined and responsible Engineering Geologist who carries out all tasks with a rigid work ethic to achieve what is expected of the client. At all times has a strong focus on safety, while implementing adaptability and initiative. Over 17 years experience in the civil engineering industry, developing skills and attributes such as:

  • Over 15 years of construction experience including supervision of small to large scale pavement, bridge, rail, remedial and earthwork construction projects. Has provided office and site based technical guidance to contractual/commercial and engineering issues, and oversight towards quality control/auditing

  • Participation in lead roles for specialised engineering projects including environmental contamination, rehabilitation/site closure, hazardous materials and electrical/communication infrastructure

  • Developing site investigation programs, carrying out geotechnical assessment and modelling such as cut slope analysis, cut to fill earthworks, drainage, foundation design and settlement analysis

  • Drafting and review of factual and interpretative reporting

  • Project management and liaison to clients and stakeholders at management and executive levels in private and government civil engineering sectors

  • Cost estimating and contract management

  • Training graduates and contractors in geotechnical investigation and assessment techniques, and procedures for civil engineering projects

  • Effective team work with civil engineering and multidisciplinary groups, proven by positive feedback from the client

  • Certified in industry accredited health, safety and supervision courses

Dr. Mark Ruse

 

Principal Engineering Geomorphologist

PhD, MPhil, BSc (Hons)

Mark's 31 year professional history has centred on the preparation of engineering geomorphic ground models and risk assessments. His experience includes the study and investigation of heavy haul railway, mine plant, green fields pre-feasibility studies and a focus on risk assessments for oil and gas pipeline construction and maintenance. His career has taken him abroad to Mongolia, Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Hong Kong, West Africa, Russia and Papua New Guinea. His expertise includes:

  • Specialist integration of desktop study into field programmes for mapping and investigation

  • Real-time risk management assessment in the field to reduce potential delays to production of revenue assets

  • Specialist in identifying high risk landforms and landscapes that may have imminent threat to public/private property and revenue assets

  • Terrain classification and interpretation of remotely sensed imagery

  • Flood risk management

  • Geomorphological and geological mapping

  • Site investigation management and supervision

  • Preparation of work methodologies for multi-discipline investigations

  • Preparation, management and analysis of datasets and reporting

  • Team leading and staff training
